 Anchor text is the clickable text that users will see as a result of a link, and is placed within the anchor tag  <a href=”…”></a>. It helps improve your SEO because it tells users and search engines about the page you’re linking to. The better your anchor text is, the easier it is for users to navigate and for search engines to understand what the page you’re linking to is about.

 The webmaster can make use of the “alt” attribute of images so that when a user loads your page that doesn’t support images, a text appears instead of the image and provides information about the picture. The webmaster should also use image filetypes that are most supported by browsers (JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP)

They can also put their site’s URL on business cards, letterhead, posters, etc. Also, if they’re advertising a local business, they should add their information on Google places to help reach customers on Google Maps and web search. Social Media sites are also a good way to interact with your business’ customers.
